Dickinson began hosting a series of zoom master classes as a way to keep in touch with international clients and collectors during the lockdown period – as well as providing a bit of education (and, we hope, entertainment!) to those confined to their homes. Rather than attempting to offer a survey course, we have touched on a range of topics, from artistic friendships, to artist couples, to turn-of-the-century Paris. Apart from our live tour of Dickinson’s virtual stand for Online Masterpiece 2020, hosted by Managing Director Emma Ward and Head of Research Molly Dorkin, all of the classes have taken the form of a half-hour lecture by Molly followed by an opportunity for questions. Recently, at the request of viewers, we have begun providing reading lists for those keen to continue learning. Our well-attended classes meet every two weeks, and will continue to do so even after the gallery routine returns to normal. We anticipate a mixture of art historical and art market topics, with other Dickinson specialists taking turns to present.
If you would be interested in registering for the class, or would like to suggest a topic for a future talk, please don’t hesitate to get in touch clicking here!
