Press Release

In this, our 25th year, Dickinson Gallery is pleased to exhibit a range of Old Master to Modern highlights at Masterpiece 2018, which will take place at the Royal Chelsea Hospital from 28th June – 4th July 2018.

Among the Old Masters on view will be English landscapes by Gainsborough and Landseer; Venetian vedute by Canaletto and Guardi; and Netherlandish pieces by Francken/Keirincx and Breughel. The Tax Collector’s Office, by Pieter Brueghel the Younger, is an early example of this popular composition, signed and dated 1616.

Moving into the Modern era, Dickinson will feature paintings and works on paper by Post-Impressionist and Expressionist masters including Cézanne, Bonnard, Schiele, Klee and Campendonk; examples by the great 20th century rivals Picasso and Matisse; and Post-War highlights by Albers, Klee, Dubuffet, Chagall and de Kooning. The exhibition is completed with Contemporary pieces by Hirst and Stingel, as well as other highlights.

We look forward to welcoming you to stand D2 at Masterpiece!
